브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 남해군과 남해군수협이 지방보조금 전용계좌 도입을 위한 업무협약을 체결하면서, 수협중앙회가 출시한 지방보조금 전용 입출금 상품이 현장에서 처음 활용되기 시작했다.
4일 수협중앙회에 따르면, 경남 남해군은 지방보조금 전용계좌 금융기관을 기존 군 금고은행 외에 수협까지 확대하기 위해 남해군수협과 업무협약을 맺었다.
협약식은 이날 남해군청에서 열렸으며, 장충남 남해군수와 김철범 남해군수협 조합장, 남해군청 및 남해군수협 관계자들이 참석했다.
그동안 지방자치단체는 협약을 맺은 금고은행에서만 지방보조금 전용계좌를 개설할 수 있었다. 이에 따라 지방보조금을 받는 사업자도 대부분 금고은행 계좌만 사용해야 해 금융거래 과정에서 불편을 겪어왔다.
이번 협약 체결로 상황이 바뀌게 됐다. 남해군 지방보조금 사업자는 수협의 전용 입출금 상품인 '수협지방보조금통장(보조사업자용)'을 개설한 뒤, 행정안전부의 지방보조금관리시스템인 보탬e를 통해 보조금 수령, 자부담금 예치, 거래처 송금 등을 처리할 수 있게 됐다.
수협중앙회는 이번 조치가 지방보조금 집행 과정의 편의성과 투명성을 높일 것으로 보고 있다.
노동진 수협중앙회장은 "이번 남해군 협약 체결을 시작으로 일선 수협도 본격적으로 지방보조금 사업에 참여하게 됐다"며 "앞으로도 지자체와 협력을 강화해 지역 경제 활성화에 기여하는 지역 밀착형 금융기관으로 자리매김하도록 뒷받침하겠다"고 말했다.
수협지방보조금통장은 수협중앙회가 수협은행과 공동으로 보탬e 시스템과의 전산 연계를 구축한 뒤 만든 전용 입출금 상품이다. 계좌는 지자체용과 보조사업자용으로 구분된다.
지자체용 계좌는 지방자치단체가 일선 수협과 업무협약을 맺고 개설하는 전용계좌로, 보탬e와 연계해 지방보조금의 교부와 집행을 체계적으로 관리할 수 있도록 설계됐다.
