[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 문화체육관광부가 주관한 지역문화매력 100선 로컬100에 고성군 대표축제 경남고성공룡세계엑스포가 선정됐다고 4일 밝혔다.

'로컬100'은 지역의 고유한 문화자원을 발굴해 대내외에 알리는 사업이다.

국민과 지자체 추천 명소 1000개소를 시작으로 전문가 심사, 빅데이터 분석을 통한 200개 후보 선정 후, 국민 투표 및 전문가의 최종 평가를 거쳐 최종 100개소 중 고성문화관광재단이 추진 중인 경남고성공룡세계엑스포가 선정 됐다.

이번 선정으로 금년도와 내년도 2년간 정부SNS, 정책기자단, 인플루언서 등을 활용한 홍보 지원을 받게 되며 국내외 관광객 유치 확대에 더욱 박차를 가할 수 있게 됐다.

노석철 관광진흥과장은 “고성군민, 고성군, 고성문화관광재단이 힘을 모아 개최하는 고성의 대표축제 공룡엑스포가 대한민국 대표 문화자원으로 채택되어 보람이 있다”며 “당항포관광지와 공룡엑스포를 함께 발전시켜 국내외 관광객에게 지속적으로 사랑받는 축제의 장소로 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.
