밀양공연예술축제 ‘대한민국 로컬100’ 선정

[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 국내 대표 여름공연예술축제로 자리매김한 밀양공연예술축제가 문화체육관광부가 주관한 ‘2026~2027 대한민국 로컬 100(지역문화매력 100선)’에 선정됐다고 5일 밝혔다.

‘로컬100’은 지역대표 문화자원을 발굴해 국·내외에 알리는 사업이다. 

국민과 지자체의 추천을 시작으로 1차 전문가 심사 및 빅데이터 분석을 통해 후보를 선정했으며, 2차로 국민 투표 및 전문가 최종 평가 등을 거쳐 지역문화명소 66곳, 지역문화콘텐츠 34개 등 최종 100선을 선정했다.

문화체육관광부는 로컬100에 선정된 ‘밀양공연예술축제’를 공식 누리집과 SNS, 유튜브 등 다양한 미디어를 통해 국·내외에 소개하고, 로컬100 현판도 전달할 예정이다.

안병구 밀양시장은 “이번 밀양공연예술축제의 로컬100 선정은 공연에 특화된 도시로서의 브랜드 이미지를 강화하고 생활인구를 확대하는 계기가 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 공연예술을 기반으로 창의적이고 지속 가능한 문화예술도시를 만들어 가겠다”고 전했다.

한편, 제26회 밀양공연예술축제는 ‘도시를 무대로, 일상을 공연으로’라는 슬로건으로 50여 회의 다채로운 공연과 행사로 올해 여름 밀양시 일원에서 펼쳐질 예정이다.
