내촌면 방위협의회는 지난 5일 관내에 위치한 군부대(제5657부대)와 내촌파출소, 내촌소방서(119지역대)를 차례로 방문해 위문품을 전달하고 노고를 격려했다고 밝혔다.

이번 방문은 연휴 기간에도 가족과 떨어져 지역 안보와 치안, 화재 예방을 위해 묵묵히 임무를 수행하는 군 장병과 경찰, 소방관들에게 감사의 뜻을 전하기 위해 마련됐다. 협의회 회원들은 준비한 위문품을 전달하며 대원들의 사기를 북돋우고, 현장의 애로사항을 청취하는 등 소통의 시간을 가졌다.

서정아 내촌면 방위협의회 의장은 “모두가 쉬는 명절에도 밤낮없이 지역의 안전을 지키는 군·경·소방 관계자분들이야말로 내촌면의 진정한 버팀목”이라며 “앞으로도 이들이 자부심을 갖고 임무에 전념할 수 있도록 지역사회 차원의 협력과 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 강조했다.
이에 최재홍 제5657부대장은 “매년 명절마다 잊지 않고 찾아주시는 방위협의회의 따뜻한 관심과 격려에 깊이 감사드린다”며 “보내주신 성원에 보답하기 위해서라도 면민들이 안심하고 편안한 명절을 보낼 수 있도록 완벽한 대비 태세를 유지하겠다”고 화답했다.
한편, 내촌면 방위협의회는 매년 설과 추석 명절마다 유관기관을 위문하며 민·관·군·경의 유대 강화는 물론, 촘촘한 지역 사회 안전망 구축에 앞장서고 있다.
