태백시는 지난 4일 태백시가족센터 다목적실에서 ‘드림스타트 졸업 아동 간담회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 드림스타트 사례관리 대상 아동 중 올해 초등학교를 졸업하며 사업 지원이 종결되는 6학년 아동 20명을 위해 기획됐다. 현장에는 졸업생과 가족, 시 관계자 등 30여 명이 참석해 아이들의 성장을 함께 축하했다.
특히 이번 간담회는 강원사회복지공동모금회 지정 기탁금으로 진행되어 지역사회의 훈훈한 정을 더했다. 참석자들은 지난 1년간 드림스타트 프로그램에 참여하며 쌓은 추억을 나누고, 서로의 앞날을 응원하는 소통의 시간을 가졌다. 또한, 아이들의 희망찬 중학교 생활을 응원하기 위한 졸업 축하 선물이 전달되어 기쁨을 더했다.
태백시 관계자는 “정들었던 드림스타트를 떠나 더 넓은 세상으로 나아가는 아이들의 졸업을 진심으로 축하한다”며 “중학생이 되어서도 자신감을 잃지 않고, 꿈을 향해 도전하며 건강하게 성장하길 바란다”고 격려했다.
