고양특례시가 새해를 맞아 시민들이 일상에서 가장 밀접하게 이용하는 생활체육 시설을 직접 챙기는 '현장 밀착 행정'에 나섰다.
고양시는 지난 6일부터 8일까지 사흘간 성사시립테니스장을 비롯해 행신·백석·성라배드민턴장 등 지역 내 주요 체육시설을 차례로 방문해 운영 실태를 집중 점검했다고 밝혔다.

이번 점검은 겨울철 추위와 결빙으로 인한 안전사고를 미연에 방지하고, 시설 이용 시 시민들이 느끼는 작은 불편함까지 세심하게 살피기 위해 마련됐다.
현장을 방문한 이동환 시장은 특히 지난해 6월 개장해 기상 상황과 관계없이 이용 가능한 성사시립테니스장 전천후구장의 운영 현황을 집중적으로 살폈다.
이어 각 배드민턴장을 방문해 코트 바닥의 마찰력, 조명 상태, 시설 노후도 등 안전과 직결된 요소들을 일일이 확인했다.
