‘모두를 품는 미래, 여성친화도시 밀양’

[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 밀양시가 9일 여성친화도시 조성위원회를 개최하고 ‘모두를 품는 미래, 여성친화도시 밀양’의 비전을 제시하고 본격적인 행보에 나섰다.

이날 회의는 지난 2024~2025년 미지정 원인을 철저히 분석하고 이를 보완한 ‘2026년 신규 지정 목표’ 달성 전략을 집중 논의했다. 

여성친화도시 조성위원회는 예산·인사·여성·일자리·도시재생·안전 업무 담당 부서장과 민간위원 등 18명으로 구성된 심의·의결 기구다. 

위원회는 여성친화도시 조성 기본방향과 전략, 기본계획 및 시행계획의 수립·시행에 관한 사항을 제안 및 심의하는 역할을 한다.

시는 보다 내실 있는 정책 추진을 통해 지정 가능성을 높인다는 방침이다.

회의에서는 ‘모두를 품는 미래, 여성친화도시 밀양’이라는 비전 아래 5대 목표, 7개 필수과제, 5개 대표과제에 대한 세부 추진계획이 보고됐다. 

안병구 밀양시장은 “여성친화도시는 특정 계층이 아닌 시민 모두가 안전하고 평등한 일상을 누리는 도시 환경을 만드는 것이 핵심”이라며, “위원회의 전문적인 고견과 시민들의 참여를 바탕으로 2026년 여성친화도시 지정을 달성할 수 있도록 시의 역량을 집중하겠다”고 말했다.
