[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 지난 2일부터 2026년 산단 근로자 천원의 아침밥 지원사업을 시작했다고 밝혔다.
바쁜 출근 시간과 경제적 이유로 아침 식사를 거르기 쉬운 산업단지 근로자들에게 영양가 있는 아침 식사를 제공해 근로자의 건강권을 확보하고 업무 집중도와 생산성을 높이기 위해서다.
이번 사업은 지난 12월 농림축산식품부 산하 농림수산식품교육문화정보원(농정원)이 주관한 공모사업에 (사)김해테크노밸리산업단지협의회가 최종 선정되어 시행하는 사업이다.
지원 대상은 김해테크노밸리일반산업단지 내 입주 된 중소기업 17개소의 근로자 213명이다.
올해 12월 18일까지(약 11개월간) 공휴일을 제외한 평일 아침마다 유부초밥, 김밥 등 간편식을 제공한다.
특히 식사 접근성이 취약한 산업단지의 특성을 고려해 ‘배송형’으로 운영된다.
근로자가 별도로 식당을 찾아갈 필요 없이 조식 제공업체가 당일 제조한 신선한 음식을 오전 7시 30분까지 각 사업장으로 직접 배달해 근로자들의 편의성을 극대화했다.
제공되는 식사의 단가는 1식 5,000원 수준이다. 이 중 국비 2,000원, 도비 1,000원, 시비 1,000원 비율로 지원하며 근로자는 1,000원만 부담하면 된다.
김해시는 근로자들의 경제적 부담 완화뿐만 아니라 장기근속 유도 등 고용 안정에도 기여할 것으로 기대했다.
사업 시행 초기인 2월 한 주간 현장 모니터링을 실시해 식단 품질과 배송 상태를 점검하고, 근로자들의 만족도를 높일 계획이다.
김해시 관계자는 “천원의 아침밥 사업이 고물가 시대 근로자들에게 실질적인 도움이 되는 복지 정책으로 자리 잡길 바란다”며 “기업하기 좋고 일하기 좋은 김해시를 만들기 위해 다양한 근로자 지원 시책을 발굴해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 김해시는 이번 시범 사업의 성과와 근로자 호응도를 분석해 향후 지원 규모 확대를 검토하고 있다.
