<브레이크뉴스 가평 = 이용하 기자> 민족 대명절 설을 앞두고 가평군 곳곳에서 소외된 이웃을 위한 나눔의 손길이 이어져 지역사회를 훈훈하게 하고 있다.
먼저 한국생활개선가평군연합회는 지난 9일 임원 15명이 참여한 가운데 ‘설맞이 음식 나눔 봉사’를 실시했다. 회원들은 직접 담근 물김치와 정성껏 포장한 떡국떡을 관내 6개 읍·면 취약계층 100여 가구에 직접 전달하며 안부를 살폈다. 함미경 회장은 “준비한 작은 정성이 이웃들에게 따뜻한 위로가 되길 바란다”고 전했다.

지역 업체들의 통 큰 기부도 이어졌다. 가평군 소재 다함건설중기와 이원건설은 10일 상면 행정복지센터를 찾아 백미 10kg 30포씩, 총 60포를 기탁했다. 두 대표는 “경기 침체로 모두가 어렵지만, 이웃들이 따뜻한 명절을 보내는 데 보탬이 되고자 뜻을 모았다”고 밝혔다.

같은 날, 가평군 상면 생활개선회 역시 십시일반 모은 성금 30만 원을 상면 행정복지센터에 전달하며 나눔 행렬에 동참했다.
서태원 상면장은 “모두가 힘든 시기임에도 잊지 않고 이웃 사랑을 실천해 주신 모든 분께 감사드린다”며 “기탁된 성금과 물품은 도움이 절실한 이웃들에게 소중히 전달하겠다”고 말했다.
