의정부 녹양종합사회복지관은 지난 11일, 의정부중앙로타리클럽과 함께 지역 내 소외된 이웃을 위한 ‘설맞이 떡국 키트 나눔’ 행사를 진행했다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 다가오는 2026년 설 명절을 맞아 홀로 외롭게 시간을 보낼 우려가 있는 지역 어르신들을 위로하고, 따뜻한 정을 나누기 위해 마련됐다. 특히 이날 전달된 떡국 키트는 의정부중앙로타리클럽 회원들이 십시일반 마음을 모아 직접 제작하고 포장해 그 의미를 더했다.

신홍균 녹양종합사회복지관장은 “매년 명절마다 잊지 않고 어르신들을 위해 따뜻한 떡국을 챙겨주셔서 깊이 감사드린다”며 “특히 돌봄이 절실한 어르신들에게는 이 떡국 한 그릇이 단순한 식사를 넘어 큰 위로와 소중한 한 끼가 될 것”이라고 감사를 표했다.
이에 우용제 의정부중앙로타리클럽 회장은 “비록 작은 나눔일지라도 누군가에게는 꼭 필요한 도움이 될 수 있다는 사실에 큰 보람을 느낀다”며 “앞으로도 클럽 회원들과 힘을 합쳐 지역사회를 따뜻하게 만드는 일에 앞장서겠다”고 화답했다.
