<브레이크뉴스 강원 = 김일웅 기자> 북부지방산림청이 봄철 대형 산불 위험에 대비해 유관기관과의 공조 체계를 점검하는 대규모 합동 훈련을 펼쳤다.

북부지방산림청은 12일 강원특별자치도 홍천군 홍천읍 상오안리 일원에서 산림청, 소방서, 경찰서, 지자체 등 관계 기관이 함께 참여하는 ‘2026년 유관기관 합동 산불진화훈련’을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
이번 훈련은 기후 변화로 인해 산불이 연중화·대형화되는 추세에 맞춰, 실제 산불 발생 상황을 가정한 단계별 대응 태세를 점검하고 기관 간 협업 능력을 극대화하기 위해 마련됐다.

훈련은 ▲산불 발생 상황 전파 및 초기 대응 ▲통합지휘본부 가동 ▲고성능 진화차 등 장비 투입 ▲주민 대피 및 안전 확보 등 실전과 동일한 시나리오로 진행됐다.

특히 이번 훈련에서는 ICT(정보통신기술) 기반의 상황 관제 시스템과 산불 정찰용 드론을 적극 활용해 눈길을 끌었다. 드론이 실시간으로 전송하는 영상 정보를 바탕으로 산불 확산 경로를 과학적으로 분석하고, 이를 진화 전술에 즉각 반영하는 첨단 대응 체계를 집중 점검했다.

송준호 북부지방산림청장은 “산불 재난은 초기 골든타임 확보와 유관기관 간의 긴밀한 협력이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “앞으로도 실전 같은 합동 훈련을 지속해 국민의 생명과 소중한 산림자원을 지키는 데 빈틈없이 대응하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 북부지방산림청은 산불 예방을 위해 입산 시 화기 소지 금지와 산림 인접 지역 불법 소각 행위 금지 등 국민들의 각별한 주의와 협조를 당부했다.
