[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 고물가와 경기 침체로 설 명절 준비에 부담을 느끼는 소외계층을 위해 경상남도와 민간 기부 기관이 손을 맞잡았다. 경상남도는 12일 경남사회복지공동모금회로부터 도내 취약계층 지원을 위한 설 위문금 6억 원을 전달받았다고 밝혔다.
이번 지원은 명절 기간 가중되는 취약계층의 상대적 박탈감을 해소하고 민간 자원을 효율적으로 배분하는 ‘민관 협력형 민생 대책’의 일환으로 추진됐다.
이번에 전달된 6억 원의 위문금은 도내 저소득층 및 취약계층 1만 세대에 전달된다. 세대당 지원 금액은 6만 원으로, 설 명절 제수용품 구매나 난방비 등 실질적인 생활비로 즉시 활용될 수 있도록 명절 전에 지급을 완료할 방침이다.
박완수 도지사는 “매년 도내 어려운 이웃을 위한 지원에 감사드린다”며 “위문금이 꼭 필요한 곳에 신속히 전달돼 소외되는 사람 없이 도민 모두가 따뜻한 설 명절을 보낼 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다. 이어 연말연시 희망나눔캠페인에서 7년 연속 ‘사랑의 온도탑 100도’ 달성도 축하했다.
