<브레이크뉴스 포천=이용하 기자> 포천시는 급격한 고령화와 1인 고령 가구 증가에 발맞춰, 기존 대면 돌봄의 사각지대를 보완하기 위한 ‘인공지능(AI) 기술 기반 노인돌봄사업’을 본격 추진한다고 밝혔다.
시는 우선 관내 1인 가구 어르신 96명을 대상으로 봉제인형 형태의 AI 돌봄로봇 ‘효돌이’를 보급했다. 이번 사업은 요양보호사나 생활지원사가 방문하지 못하는 시간대의 돌봄 공백을 메우고, 상시 안전망을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.

‘효돌이’는 어르신과 일상적인 대화를 나누는 감정 교감 기능을 비롯해 ▲음악 재생 ▲식사·기상 시간 안내 ▲복약 알림 ▲치매 예방 퀴즈 등 다양한 서비스를 제공한다. 이를 통해 어르신들의 규칙적인 생활 습관 형성과 인지 건강 관리를 돕는 ‘똑똑한 반려자’ 역할을 수행한다.
특히 안전 관리 기능이 강화됐다. 일정 시간 이상 어르신의 움직임이나 반응이 감지되지 않을 경우, 지자체 및 119 안전신고센터와 자동 연계되어 위급 상황 발생 시 신속한 구조와 대응이 가능하도록 설계됐다.
포천시는 이번 사업에 참여한 어르신들을 대상으로 만족도와 효과성을 정밀 분석한 뒤, 향후 보급 대상을 단계적으로 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
