이재명 대통령이 14일 검찰의 위례신도시 개발 비리 의혹 사건 '정영학 녹취록' 왜곡 지적 관련해 "황당한 증거 조작"이라고 주장했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오전 엑스(X·구 트위터)에 관련 계정 글을 링크한 채 "무수히 많은 사례 중 하나일 뿐"이라며 이같이 주장했다.
또 앞서 지난 5일에도 엑스에 글을 올려 해당 사건에 대한 검찰의 항소 포기 관련해 "법리상 되지도 않는 사건으로 나를 엮어보겠다고 대장동 녹취록을 '위례신도시 얘기'에서 '위 어르신 얘기'로 변조까지 해서 증거로 내더니"라고 한 바 있다.
녹취록엔 남욱 변호사가 "유씨(유동규 전 성남도시개발공사 기획본부장)가 '어떤 방법이 됐든 밖에서 봤을 때 문제만 없으면 상관 없다"며 "○○○ 너(남욱) 결정한 대로 다 해줄 테니까'"라고 기록돼 있다.
남 변호사는 재판에서 불명확히 녹음된 '○○○' 부분 관련해 '위례신도시도 너 결정한 대로 다 해줄 테니까'라는 말이라고 설명했다.
검찰은 이 부분이 '위 어르신들이 너 결정한 대로 다 해줄 테니까'라는 말로 '어르신들'이란 이 대통령·정진상 전 더불어민주당 정무조정실장을 지칭한 것이라고 주장했었다.
