경기 포천시는 오는 20일부터 26일까지 한탄강 세계지질공원을 찾는 국내외 탐방객들에게 생생한 지질 이야기를 들려줄 '2026년 신규 지질공원해설사'를 모집한다고 19일 밝혔다.
포천시에 따르면, 최근 한탄강 세계지질공원을 찾는 관광객 수요가 꾸준히 증가함에 따라 보다 전문적이고 현장 대응력이 뛰어난 해설 인력 확충이 필수적인 상황이다. 현재 포천시에는 21명의 해설사가 활동하며 비둘기낭 폭포, 화적연 등 주요 명소에서 탐방객들의 이해를 돕고 있다.
이번에 모집하는 '지질공원해설사'는 각 지질명소의 형성 과정은 물론, 얽혀있는 역사와 문화, 생태 자원까지 종합적으로 설명하며 지역 자연유산의 진정한 가치를 전달하는 핵심 홍보대사 역할을 수행하게 된다.
지원 자격은 공고일 기준 포천시에 주민등록을 두고 3년 이상 실제 거주한 시민으로, 20세 이상 70세 미만(공고 마감일 기준)이어야 한다. 한탄강 유역에 대한 지질·역사·문화 분야의 기본 소양을 갖춘 자를 선발하며, 외국어 구사 능력자나 관련 전공자, 지질공원 권역 거주민 등에게는 우대 혜택이 주어진다.
