의정부시는 19일 시청 의정홀에서 관내 주요 재난관리 책임기관장들이 대거 참석한 가운데 ‘2026년 제1회 안전관리위원회’를 개최하고, 올해 지역 안전을 책임질 기본 청사진을 심의·의결했다고 밝혔다.

'재난 및 안전관리 기본법'에 따라 설치된 의정부시 안전관리위원회는 지역의 안전관리 정책을 총괄하고 조정하는 핵심 컨트롤타워다. 위원장인 시장과 부시장을 비롯해 의정부경찰서장, 의정부소방서장, 의정부교육지원청 교육장, 관할 군부대장 등 23명의 민·관·군·경 핵심 인사들로 촘촘하게 구성돼 있다.
