[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시가 동부산 차량등록지원센터를 사업용 자동차 등록 특화시설로 확대 운영한다.
부산시는 오는 2월 23일부터 차량등록사업소 동부산지원센터에서 사업용 자동차의 신규·이전·변경·말소 및 번호판 교부 등 모든 사업용 차량 등록 업무를 처리한다고 19일 밝혔다.
동부산지원센터는 기장체육관 내에 위치해 있으며, 지난해 3월 21일 문을 열어 본소 방문이 어려웠던 동부산 지역 주민들의 차량 등록 민원을 담당해왔다.
그동안 동부산지원센터에서는 자가용 이전·변경 등 제한적인 차량등록 업무만 처리했지만, 인근 화물차 공영차고지와 대형 차량 매매단지 활성화로 등록 수요가 늘면서 업무 범위를 대폭 넓히게 됐다.
시는 이번 조치로 대기 시간과 이동 부담이 줄어들어 사업용 차량 종사자와 지역 주민들의 행정 만족도가 높아지고, 동·서부 간 차량 행정서비스 격차 해소에도 도움이 될 것이라고 전망했다.
박형준 부산시장은 “동부산지원센터는 시민들의 오랜 차량 민원 숙원을 해소하기 위한 실질적인 행정서비스 개선 사례”라며 “앞으로도 시민 중심의 현장 행정을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

The city of Busan said it will expand operations at its Dongbusan Support Center for Vehicle Registration starting Feb. 23, designating it as a specialized facility for commercial vehicle registration.
Located inside the Gijang Gymnasium, the center opened on March 21 last year to improve accessibility for East Busan residents and speed up processing for vehicle-related administrative tasks.
With registration demand continuing to rise and nearby freight parking lots and auto sales complexes becoming more active, the center will now handle all operations related to commercial vehicles — including new registrations, transfers, changes, cancellations, and license plate issuance.
City officials said the expansion will reduce waiting times and travel burdens while improving satisfaction among local residents and commercial vehicle operators.
Mayor Park Heong-joon said the center was a “practical improvement in administrative services resolving long-standing citizen concerns” and pledged to continue expanding on-site, citizen-centered services.
