이 사업은 다문화 및 중도입국자녀들의 학교 부적응과 교육 사각지대 문제를 해결하고자 포천시, 경기도교육청(포천교육지원청), 대진대학교가 손을 맞잡은 3자 협력 프로젝트다. 지역 대학의 풍부한 인프라를 적극 활용해 공교육의 빈틈을 채우는 맞춤형 한국어 집중 교육을 제공하는 것이 특징이다.

현재 랭귀지스쿨은 대진대학교 캠퍼스 내 강의실과 학생회관 등을 활용해 진행되고 있다. 단순 언어 교육을 넘어, 수준별 한국어 수업과 함께 심리·정서 상담, 대학생 유학생 멘토링(버디 프로그램), AI 체험 등 다채로운 대학 연계 활동이 통합적으로 이루어진다.
특히 실생활 밀착형 말하기·듣기 위주의 멀티미디어 수업이 학생들의 언어 자신감을 크게 높여주고 있으며, 실제 수업 참여도와 집중 시간도 눈에 띄게 증가하는 등 긍정적인 성과가 나타나고 있다.
포천시가 사업의 총괄을 맡고 포천교육지원청이 예산 지원 및 학생 평가를, 대진대가 공간과 교육 프로그램을 제공하는 이 탄탄한 협력 체계는 향후 타 지자체에서도 벤치마킹할 수 있는 우수 선도 사례로 주목받고 있다.
