백운계곡의 수려한 겨울 풍경을 무대로 펼쳐진 이번 축제는 눈썰매, 얼음썰매, 전통 팽이치기, 얼음낚시 등 다채로운 체험 프로그램과 어린이 놀이터를 선보여 가족 단위 방문객들에게 큰 인기를 끌었다. 특히 외국인 관광객을 배려해 안내문과 홍보물에 외국어를 병기하고, 바가지요금 근절을 위해 먹거리 가격을 동결하는 등 세심하고 적극적인 운영 전략이 빛을 발하며 축제 기간 동안 무려 6만여 명의 발길이 이어졌다.

비록 개장 초반 온화한 날씨 탓에 일부 얼음 프로그램 운영에 제약이 따르기도 했으나, 주최 측이 인공 눈과 얼음을 발 빠르게 투입해 운영 차질을 최소화하는 등 유연한 대처 능력을 보여주었다.
