충남 서산시가 석남동 286-13번지 일대에 추진 중인 ‘(가칭) 문화예술타운 조성사업’의 실시계획을 공식 인가·고시하면서 본격 착수 단계에 들어섰다.
이번 인가는 국립국악원 분원을 포함해 무형유산전수교육관, 서산문화원, 시립미술관, 예술의 전당, 서산문학관 등 6개 문화시설을 단계적으로 한곳에 집적화하는 사업의 부지 조성과 진입도로 개설 계획을 확정한 것으로, 서산시는 이에 따라 단계별 보상과 토지 조성 작업, 진입도로 개설에 속도를 낼 방침이다.
특히 국립국악원 분원과 무형유산전수교육관, 서산문화원 부지 조성을 우선적으로 추진해 조기 착공지원을 강화할 계획이다.
서산시는 2024년부터 기본계획 수립과 타당성 연구를 완료하고 도시관리계획 결정·고시 등 행정절차를 순차적으로 진행해 왔다. 이번 실시계획 인가는 그 과정이 차질없이 진행되고 있음을 보여주는 중요한 이정표다.
