브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 인천국제공항공사는 인천공항 제2여객터미널에 여객의 심리적 안정을 지원하기 위한 전용공간인 ‘심리 안정실’을 조성해 20일부터 운영한다고 밝혔다.
인천공항에는 보행상 장애인, 임산부, 노약자 등 교통약자를 위한 휴게공간이 다양하게 조성돼 있지만 여객 심리안정 목적의 전용공간이 조성된 것은 이번이 처음으로 국내공항 중에서도 최초이다.
심리 안정실은 인천공항 제2여객터미널 3층 면세구역 231번 탑승구 인근에 위치한 교통약자라운지 내부에 마련돼 있으며, 오전 7시부터 오후 9시까지 운영된다.
공항 이용 중 갑작스럽게 불안감을 느끼거나 외부자극에 노출된 여객이라면 누구나 방문해 이용할 수 있으며, 하반기 중에는 인천공항 헬프 데스크 및 홈페이지를 통한 사전예약 시스템을 구축할 계획이다.
이번 심리 안정실은 이용자의 심리 안정에 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있도록 기획 단계부터 관련 전문가의 자문을 거쳐 조성됐다.
특히, 심리적 안정을 유도하는 전문기구인 ‘스누젤렌(Snoezelen) 기구’를 포함해 사용자가 조도를 조절할 수 있는 간접조명과 부드러운 색의 마감재를 사용함으로써 심리적 회복에 집중할 수 있는 편안한 환경을 조성했다.
공사는 이번 심리 안정실 운영을 통해 여객 맞춤형 휴게공간을 확충함으로써 여객편의가 한층 향상될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
이학재 사장은 “인천공항은 우리 국민들을 포함해 전 세계 다양한 여객들이 이용하는 공간인 만큼, 앞으로도 맞춤형 편의시설을 지속 확대해 공항 서비스 품질을 제고해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 인천공항은 이번 심리 안정실 외에도 교통약자 전용 휴게 라운지(3개소), 패밀리 라운지(2개소), 교통약자 전동차 이동 서비스 등 다양한 편의시설 및 서비스를 운영하고 있다.
