가평군, 도서관 ‘동네서점 바로대출’ 도입… "희망도서 10일 내 대출"

그동안 도서관에 없는 ‘희망도서’를 신청할 경우, 도서 선정부터 구매 및 장서 정리까지 2~3개월이 소요돼 이용자들의 불편이 꾸준히 제기돼 왔다.

새롭게 시행되는 ‘동네서점 바로대출’은 신청 즉시 관내 협약 서점에 도서를 발주하는 시스템이다. 이를 통해 군민들은 10일 이내에 도서관에서 책을 빌려볼 수 있게 돼, 기존보다 약 6배 빠르게 신간을 접할 수 있다.

특히 이번 사업은 도서 공급처를 대형 총판이 아닌 관내 영세 동네서점으로 지정해 의미를 더했다. 도서관이 지역 서점에서 도서를 우선 구매함으로써 서점의 경영 안정화를 돕고, 도서관 예산이 지역 소상공인에게 환류되는 지역 상생의 선순환 구조를 구축할 것으로 기대된다.

서비스 이용을 원하는 군민은 가평군 도서관 홈페이지나 도서관 방문을 통해 신청서를 제출하면 된다. 도서가 도착하면 신청자에게 개별 문자로 안내된다.
