시민단체 33인, 후손 없는 독립선열에 설 차례

후손이 없는 무후(無後) 독립선열을 기리는 설 차례 추모행사가 지난 2월 18일 대전 유성구 국립묘지에서 열렸다. 이날 행사에는 20개 시민사회단체 회원과 개인 자격 참여자 등 33명이 참석해 “모든 국민이 후손 없는 독립투사의 제주(祭主)”임을 선언했다.

행사는 대전 유성구 갑동에 위치한 국립대전현충원에서 진행됐다. 1부는 독립유공자 제3묘역에 안장된 홍범도 장군 참배로 시작됐으며, 2부는 독립유공자 제7묘역에 안장된 후손 없는 광복군 17위를 추모하는 일정으로 이어졌다. 1부 사회는 김동섭 독립운동기념사업회 이사장이, 2부 사회는 김선홍 대한민국순국선열숭모회 상임공동대표가 맡았다.

이날 추모행사의 핵심 프로그램으로는 한대수 아시아1인극협회 대표의 ‘독립군 진혼굿’ 특별헌정 퍼포먼스가 진행됐다. 1부에서는 대형 태극기를 활용한 공연이 약 3분간 펼쳐졌고, 2부에서는 붉은 장미꽃을 활용한 퍼포먼스가 약 10분간 이어졌다. 참석자들은 공연을 통해 무후 항일선열에 대한 추모와 계승 의지를 다졌다고 전했다.

이번 행사는 개헌개혁행동마당(상임의장 송운학)이 기획했으며, 개혁연대민생행동, 국민주권개헌행동, 촛불계승연대천만행동, 친일청산 한국사복원운동 등 총 20개 시민사회단체가 공동 참여했다. 행사 이후에는 ‘내란 없는 국가 건설’, ‘주민자치·지방분권’, ‘국민주권 개헌’, ‘남북교류와 평화’, ‘국익 중심 실용외교’를 주제로 시국 간담회도 열렸다.

송운학 상임의장은 발언을 통해 “전체 독립유공자 1만 8천여 명 가운데 약 40%에 해당하는 7,285명이 후손을 찾지 못해 아직까지 증서 전달이 이뤄지지 않고 있다”며, “미지급 보상금 규모도 약 8조 5천억 원에 달한다”고 설명했다.

A Lunar New Year memorial service honoring the descendants of independence fighters was held on February 18th at the Daejeon National Cemetery in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon. Thirty-three participants, including members of 20 civic groups and individual participants, declared, "All citizens are the hosts of the memorial service for the descendants of independence fighters."

The event took place at the Daejeon National Cemetery in Gap-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon. The first part began with a visit to General Hong Beom-do, buried in Section 3 of the Independence Activists' Cemetery, while the second part included a tribute to the 17 descendants of the Independence Activists' Cemetery, buried in Section 7 of the Independence Activists' Cemetery.
