24일 포천시에 따르면, 시는 지난 23일 포천시근로자종합복지관 대회의실에서 ‘포천시 상권활성화센터’ 개소식을 성황리에 개최하고 본격적인 밀착 지원 업무에 돌입했다.

이번에 문을 연 상권활성화센터는 지역 내 소상공인을 종합적으로 지원하고 골목상권을 체계적으로 발굴 및 육성하기 위해 설립된 핵심 컨트롤타워다. 센터는 앞으로 △찾아가는 맞춤형 상권매니저 운영 △지역상권 이용 촉진 캠페인 전개 △신규 상권 발굴 및 정부 공모사업 추진 △상인 조직화 지원 등 현장 중심의 실효성 있는 사업들을 전개해 나갈 방침이다.

이날 개소식 행사에는 포천시장을 비롯해 시·도의원, 경기도시장상권진흥원장, 상권활성화협의체 위원 및 지역 상인 대표 등이 대거 참석해 센터의 힘찬 첫 출발을 축하했다.
행사는 센터의 비전과 방향성을 담은 홍보영상 상영을 시작으로 경과보고, 현판식 및 시설 라운딩 순으로 다채롭게 진행됐다. 특히 지역 상인 대표들이 직접 참여한 ‘희망나무 물주기’ 퍼포먼스는 센터 개소의 상징적인 의미를 더하며 지역 상권의 지속 가능한 동반 성장을 기원해 눈길을 끌었다.
