[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 밀양시는 시민들의 독서 접근성을 높이고 지역 서점 활성화를 도모하기 위해 '동네서점 바로대출 서비스'를 시행한다고 24일 밝혔다.
동네서점 바로대출 서비스는 이용자가 읽고 싶은 도서가 도서관에 없을 경우, 가까운 동네서점에서 해당 도서를 바로 대출해 이용할 수 있도록 지원하는 제도다.
도서관과 지역 서점이 협력해 시민 편의를 높이는 동시에 지역 서점의 안정적인 운영을 돕는 것이 목적이다.
현재 협약을 맺은 동네서점은 동아서점, 미리벌서점, 청학서림 등 총 4곳이다.
이용자는 바로대출 서비스 누리집을 통해 원하는 도서를 신청한 뒤 지정 서점에서 도서를 수령해 14일간 대출할 수 있다.
서비스 시행 이후 시민들의 이용 문의와 신청이 꾸준히 이어지고 있으며 도서 이용 편의성과 지역 서점 이용 활성화 측면에서 긍정적인 호응을 얻고 있다.

Miryang City Launches Neighborhood Bookstore Direct Loan Service
Miryang City announced on the 24th that it will launch the "Neighborhood Bookstore Direct Loan Service" to increase citizens' access to reading and promote the revitalization of local bookstores.
