대전 서구가 공공기관 직원들을 대상으로 맞춤형 환경교육을 확대하며 ESG 행정과 기후위기 대응을 앞당긴다.
서구는 24일 대전 소재 44개 공공기관(400여 명 대상)으로 '2026년 공공기관 환경교육 프로그램'을 추진한다고 밝혔다.
지난해 노루벌적십자생태원이 대전 유일 환경교육센터로 지정된 데 힘입어 기획된 이 프로그램은 찾아가는 교육 2종, 노루벌 방문 체험, 직원·가족 주말 교육 등 4유형으로 나뉜다.
서구는 정부대전청사와 대덕연구특구 등 공공기관이 집중된 지역 특성을 살려 3월 수요조사를 거쳐 기관별 맞춤 일정을 운영할 계획이다.
기후위기 대응 역량 강화와 ESG 실천을 핵심으로, 공공 부문부터 환경 공치(공공 협치)를 공고히 하겠다는 전략이다.
노루벌 생태원은 2021년 개관 후 지역 생태교육 명소로 자리 잡았으며, 이번 프로그램으로 공공기관과의 연계가 강화된다.
서구 관계자는 “공공기관이 환경을 배우고 소통하는 플랫폼이 되길 기대한다”며 “서구를 환경교육 선도 도시로 키우겠다”고 밝혔다.
이는 서구의 제2차 환경교육 중장기 계획(2027~2031)과 연동돼 지속 가능한 녹색 행정 기반을 마련하는 데 기여할 전망이다.

This initiative, in conjunction with Seo-gu's Second Mid- to Long-Term Environmental Education Plan (2027-2031), is expected to contribute to establishing a foundation for sustainable, green administration.
