안양시(시장 최대호)는 시와 안양춤축제추진위원회가 주최하고 안양문화예술재단이 주관한 ‘2025 안양춤축제’가 ‘2026 제14회 대한민국축제콘텐츠대상’에서 ‘축제 글로벌 명품 부문’ 수상 축제로 선정됐다고 25일 밝혔다. 이로써 안양춤축제는 6년 연속 수상 기록을 이어가며 대한민국 대표 문화관광축제로서의 위상을 다시 한 번 확인했다.
올해로 14회째를 맞은 ‘대한민국축제콘텐츠대상’은 (사)한국축제콘텐츠협회가 주관하며, 전국 지역축제를 대상으로 전문 심사위원단이 운영 성과, 콘텐츠 구성, 지속 가능성, 사회적 가치 등을 종합 평가해 우수 축제를 선정하는 상이다.
안양춤축제는 춤 경연대회, 랜덤플레이 댄스, 댄스버스킹(거리공연) 등 다채로운 프로그램을 통해 도심 공간을 활용해 남녀노소가 함께 즐기는 화합의 장을 마련했다는 평가를 받았다. 지역 문화자원에 국제적 감각을 더한 기획력과 안정적인 운영 역량 역시 ‘글로벌 명품 부문’ 선정의 주요 요인으로 꼽혔다.

시는 이번 수상을 계기로 9월 개최 예정인 안양춤축제 준비에 박차를 가할 계획이다. 안전관리 체계를 강화하고 관람 편의를 높이는 한편, 프로그램 완성도도 한층 끌어올릴 방침이다.
(사)한국축제콘텐츠협회는 24일 오후 1시 30분 용산전쟁기념관 피스앤파크컨벤션에서 ‘제14회 대한민국축제콘텐츠대상’ 시상식을 개최했다.
시는 같은 날 오후 4시 35분 시청 접견실에서 전수식을 열고 안양문화예술재단 최우규 대표이사로부터 수상패를 전달받았다. 이 자리에는 시와 안양문화예술재단 관계자들이 참석해 수상의 의미를 공유하고 향후 운영 방향도 논의했다.
시 관계자는 “6년 연속 수상은 시민과 예술인, 자원봉사자가 함께 만들어 낸 성과”라며, “차별화된 콘텐츠와 안정적인 운영으로 대한민국을 대표하는 문화관광축제로 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 2000년 시민축제로 시작된 안양춤축제는 2021년 코로나19로 지친 시민을 위로하기 위해 시작한 온라인 우선멈‘춤’ 프로젝트로 특화됐다. 2022년 오프라인 우선멈‘춤’ 안양시민축제를 거쳐, 2023년부터는 ‘안양춤축제’로 명칭을 변경해 시 대표 축제로 자리매김했다. 지난해 9월 26일부터 28일까지 3일간 열린 축제에는 14만2천여 명이 참여했다.
