[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 지리산산청곶감축제가 제14회 대한민국축제콘텐츠대상 시상식에서 특별상을 수상했다고 25일 밝혔다.

이번 수상으로 지리산산청곶감축제는 총 9번째 대한민국축제콘텐츠대상 수상이라는 성과를 거두며 대한민국 대표 지역축제로 브랜드 경쟁력을 인정받았다.

산청곶감축제는 민간주도 행사로, 실질적인 소득증대와 지역경제 활성화에 기여한 점이 높은 평가를 받았다.

특히 올해 19회째 맞는 축제는 10년 연속 대한민국 대표과일로 선정된 산청고종시로 만든 명품 산청곶감 등 다양한 기획전과 볼거리를 제공해 관광객들에게 큰 호응을 얻었다.

산청군 관계자는 “산청곶감이 전국 최고 수준의 맛과 품질로 명성을 이어가는 것은 물론, 풍성하고 차별화된 프로그램 개발을 통해 명품 축제로 자리매김할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 대한민국축제콘텐츠대상은 (사)한국축제콘텐츠협회가 주관하고 (사)한국지역산업문화협회가 후원하는 행사다. 지난 2013년부터 시작돼 해마다 열리는 국내 대표 축제 대상 시상식이다.
