고양특례시가 도시 공간 정책의 전문성을 높이고 장기적인 도시 디자인의 일관성을 유지하기 위해 민간전문가 제도를 적극 활용한다.
시는 지난 25일 열린시장실에서 연세대학교 도시공학과 이제선 교수를 고양시 총괄계획가로 연임 위촉했다.

이번 연임은 도시계획과 공공건축 등 통합적 관리가 요구되는 분야에서 정책의 정합성을 확보하고, 그간 추진해온 도시 공간 사업의 연속성을 이어가기 위한 결정이다.
이제선 교수는 지난 2년간 고양시 초대 총괄계획가로서 시 전역의 주요 도시 사업을 조율해 왔다.
도시설계 및 공간 정책 분야의 전문가로, 고양시뿐 아니라 다수 지자체의 도시계획 및 건축위원회에서 공공건축 설계와 조정 업무를 수행하며 전문성을 인정받아 왔다.
