대전광역시교육청이 학생들의 심리적 안정과 정신건강을 보다 체계적으로 돌보기 위해 지원 체계를 대폭 강화하고 본격적인 운영에 나섰다.
이를 위해 대전시교육청은 25일 교육청과 위탁병원 간의 긴밀한 협력을 약속하는 ‘2026년 학생마음건강지원센터 현판 수여식’을 개최했다.
이번 수여식은 기존의 학생정신건강거점센터를 ‘학생마음건강지원센터’로 새롭게 개편하고, 지원 범위를 확대한 것을 기념하기 위해 마련됐다.
올해부터 새롭게 문을 여는 학생마음건강지원센터는 학생과 학부모는 물론 교원들까지 아우르며 정신건강 전문가의 자문과 교육을 제공한다. 특히 주목할 점은 정신건강 전문기관의 치료 이력이 없는 고위험군 학생을 위한 ‘원스톱 서비스’다.
센터는 대상 학생을 발굴해 검사와 상담, 그리고 실질적인 치료까지 중단 없이 이어질 수 있도록 집중 지원할 방침이다.
교육청은 지원의 사각지대를 없애고 접근성을 높이기 위해 센터를 동부와 서부 2개소로 확대했다. 중구 중앙로에 위치한 소망정신건강의학과가 위탁 운영하는 동부지원센터는 동구, 중구, 대덕구 소재 학교를 전담한다.
서구 대덕대로에 위치한 나음정신건강의학과가 맡은 서부지원센터는 서구와 유성구 소재 학교를 지원한다. 교육청은 두 센터 간의 긴밀한 네트워크를 통해 학생의 거주지와 교통 편의를 고려한 맞춤형 지원을 더욱 강화할 계획이다.
