<브레이크뉴스 태백 = 김일웅 기자> 태백시가 시민 모두가 존중받고 안전한 '여성친화도시' 재협약 추진을 위해 본격적인 행보에 나섰다.
시는 지난 23일 시청 소회의실에서 '2026년 태백시 여성친화도시 조성위원회'를 개최하고, 올해 시행계획 심의와 함께 2027년 재협약 준비를 위한 부서별 협력 사항을 논의했다고 26일 밝혔다.
이날 확정된 2026년 시행계획은 5대 분야 19개 세부사업으로 구성됐다. 주요 내용으로는 ▲여성 경제·사회 참여 확대를 위한 돌봄노동자 실태조사 ▲여성 안심 환경 강화 등 지역사회 안전 증진 ▲성평등 마을공동체 조성 등 가족친화 환경 구축 등이 포함됐다.
특히 시는 '여성 광부 기록의 유산화' 사업을 통해 지역 발전에 기여한 여성들의 공헌을 체계적으로 기록하고, 이를 바탕으로 양성평등 축제를 정례화하는 등 태백만의 차별화된 여성친화 정책을 펼칠 계획이다.
김동균 태백시 부시장은 "여성친화도시 조성은 모든 시민이 안전하고 존중받는 공동체를 만드는 과정"이라며 "내년도 재협약 추진을 발판 삼아 정책의 내실을 다지고 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 실질적인 성과를 내겠다"고 강조했다.
