<브레이크뉴스 강원 = 김일웅 기자> 북부지방산림청이 소나무재선충병의 확산을 막기 위해 유관기관과 손잡고 광역 단위의 촘촘한 방제망 구축에 나섰다.
북부지방산림청은 26일 수원국유림관리소에서 '2026년 서울·경기남부 소나무재선충병 방제지역 협의회'를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협의회는 행정구역 경계를 넘어 확산되는 재선충병의 특성에 대응해 권역별 방제 공백을 없애고 유관기관 간 협력 체계를 강화하기 위해 마련됐다. 행사에는 수원국유림관리소를 비롯해 경기도, 양평군, 광주시, 여주시 등 서울·경기남부 권역 15개 지방자치단체와 한국임업진흥원 관계자들이 참석했다.
이날 회의에서는 2025년 하반기 방제사업 추진 현황을 점검하고, 2026년도 기관별 방제 전략과 세부 추진 계획을 공유했다. 특히 한국임업진흥원 모니터링센터의 자문을 바탕으로 현장의 애로사항과 제도 개선 방안, 효과적인 확산 차단 전략에 대해 심도 있는 논의가 이뤄졌다.
북부지방산림청은 피해 권역에 따라 서울·경기북부, 서울·경기남부, 강원영서지역으로 구분해 연 3회 정례 협의회를 운영하며 체계적인 방제 관리를 이어가고 있다.
송준호 북부지방산림청장은 “소나무재선충병은 유관기관 간의 긴밀한 공동 대응이 무엇보다 중요하다”며, “정례적인 협의체를 통해 기관 간 협력을 공고히 하고, 소중한 산림 피해를 최소화하는 데 총력을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
