<브레이크뉴스 강원 = 김일웅 기자> 박은식 산림청장 직무대행이 본격적인 봄철 산불 조심 기간을 맞아 접경 지역과 강원 영서권 산림 보호를 책임지는 북부지방산림청을 방문해 현장 대응 태세를 집중 점검했다.
산림청은 박은식 청장 직무대행이 26일 북부지방산림청을 방문해 대형산불 대응 체계를 점검하고, 최일선에서 사투를 벌이는 산불재난특수진화대원들을 격려하는 시간을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이번 방문은 건조한 날씨와 정월대보름(3월 1일)을 앞두고 산불 발생 위험이 높아짐에 따라, 현장의 과학적 산불 감시 시스템과 진화 장비 운영 현황을 직접 살피기 위해 마련됐다.

박 직무대행은 업무 보고를 받는 자리에서 "정월대보름 전후로 민속놀이나 야외 활동으로 인한 산불 발생 위험이 크다"며, "ICT 기술을 활용한 체계적인 대응 태세를 유지하고 산불 취약 지역에 대한 지속적인 순찰 활동을 강화해 달라"고 강조했다.
