반도체·로봇·AI 의료기기 등 첨단 산업 포진… 526명 신규 고용 기대

충남도가 반도체, 로봇, 인공지능(AI) 등 미래 먹거리 산업을 이끌 강소기업들을 대거 유치하며 지역 경제 성장의 강력한 엔진을 달았다. 도는 6개 시군에 걸쳐 총 5,000억 원이 넘는 대규모 투자를 끌어내며 지속 가능한 발전의 발판을 마련했다.
김태흠 충남도지사는 26일 도청 대회의실에서 6개 시군 단체장, 14개 기업 대표와 투자협약(MOU)을 체결했다.
이번 협약에 따라 이들 기업은 오는 2029년까지 천안, 아산, 계룡 등 도내 산업단지 및 개별 부지 50만 64㎡에 총 5,090억 원을 투입해 공장을 신·증설하거나 이전한다. 이를 통해 창출되는 신규 일자리만 526명에 달할 전망이다.
지역별로는 천안 북부BIT산단에 성창오토텍(자동차 부품), 하이쎄미코(반도체 장비) 등 4개 기업이 둥지를 틀고, 아산에는 건축자재 기업 경동원이 1,914억 원을 투입해 대규모 생산시설을 확충한다.
계룡에는 나노소프트(AI 의료기기), 예산에는 한민에코텍(비철금속)과 퓨릿(반도체 케미칼)이 각각 대규모 투자를 단행한다. 이 외에도 서천, 홍성, 내포 지역에 의료기기 및 소방전기부품 업체들이 들어서며 지역별 특화 산업의 밀도를 높인다.
충남도는 이번 투자가 완료될 경우 도내에서 약 8,204억 원의 생산 유발 효과와 3,113억 원의 부가가치 유발 효과가 나타날 것으로 내다봤다. 단순한 공장 유치를 넘어 지역 내 고용과 소비가 맞물리는 경제 선순환 구조가 한층 탄탄해질 것이라는 분석이다.
김태흠 지사는 “충남을 믿고 선택한 기업들이 반드시 성공할 수 있도록 최상의 환경을 조성하겠다”며 강력한 지원 의지를 피력했다.
특히 기업들의 자금난 해소를 위해 현재 조성 중인 벤처투자펀드를 2028년까지 1조 원 규모로 확대하고, 매년 1조 2,000억 원의 저금리 정책 자금을 공급해 기업의 과감한 투자를 뒷받침하겠다고 약속했다.
충남도의 지원책은 자금 지원에만 그치지 않는다. 도정 최초로 기술보증기금과 협업해 정책자금 연계형 연구개발(R&D) 지원 체계를 구축, ‘금융-기술개발-사업화’가 유기적으로 이어지는 중소기업 성장 사다리를 놓을 계획이다.
또한 전문 기업 지정 확대와 실증 지원 시설 확충은 물론, 전략 산업별로 특화된 전문 인력을 직접 양성해 기업들이 겪는 인력난 해소에도 적극 나서기로 했다.
김 지사는 “충남은 기업의 든든한 동반자로서 기업과 지역이 함께 성장하는 지속 가능한 경제 모델을 힘 있게 견인하겠다”고 강조했다.
