【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=경주시가 퇴원환자의 돌봄 공백 해소를 위해 26일 ‘퇴원환자 지역사회 연계지원 업무협약’을 체결했다. 다음 달 27일부터 시행되는 ‘의료·요양 등 지역 돌봄의 통합지원에 관한 법률’에 선제적으로 대응하기 위한 조치다.

이번 협약에는 ▲계명대학교 경주동산병원 ▲새천년병원 ▲경주센텀병원 ▲큰마디큰병원 ▲새빛병원 ▲중앙요양병원 ▲서울요양병원 등 7개 의료기관이 참여했다.
협약에 따라 각 병원은 퇴원을 앞둔 환자 가운데 지역사회 돌봄이 필요한 어르신과 중증 지체·뇌병변 장애인을 발굴해 시 통합돌봄 전담부서로 의뢰한다. 시는 대상자별 맞춤형 지원계획을 수립하고 통합지원회의를 거쳐 보건의료, 요양, 일상생활지원 서비스를 연계할 방침이다.
경주시는 이번 협약을 통해 병원 치료 이후에도 돌봄이 단절되지 않는 ‘의료-지역사회 연속체계’를 구축할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다. 이와 함께 방문의료지원과 퇴원환자 연계사업을 병행해 대상자가 기존 거주지에서 안정적으로 생활을 이어갈 수 있도록 지원할 계획이다.
또 케어안심주택 운영과 주거환경 개선을 통해 주거 공백을 최소화하고, AI 건강돌봄 서비스와 일상생활돌봄(지역이음 바우처)을 연계해 ‘경주형 통합돌봄 모델’을 단계적으로 확대해 나갈 방침이다.
주낙영 경주시장은 “병원 퇴원 이후에도 지역사회에서 필요한 돌봄이 끊기지 않도록 지원하는 데 큰 의미가 있다”며 “시민 중심의 통합돌봄 체계를 더욱 촘촘히 구축하겠다”고 밝혔다.
