대전교통공사가 제107주년 3.1절을 기념해 나라를 위해 헌신한 독립유공자들에 대한 예우를 강화한다. 공사는 순국선열의 독립정신을 기리는 의미로 3.1절 전후 3일간 도시철도 무임수송을 확대 실시한다고 밝혔다.
이번 무임수송 서비스는 2월 28일부터 3월 2일까지 총 3일간 진행된다. 혜택 대상은 독립유공자 본인과 동반 가족 1인, 그리고 독립유공자 유족 본인이다.
이용 방법은 간단하다. 해당 기간 도시철도를 이용하려는 대상자가 각 역에 위치한 고객안내센터나 매표소에서 독립유공자(유족)증 또는 광복회원증을 제시하면 된다. 신분 확인 후 우대권을 교부받아 무료로 탑승할 수 있다.
대전교통공사는 이번 특별 무임수송이 차질 없이 진행되도록 대전 도시철도 22개 전 역사에 안내문을 부착해 홍보를 강화했다. 또한 현장 역무원들을 대상으로 대상자 확인 절차와 우대권 교부 지침에 대한 사전 교육을 마쳤다.
