인천시에 따르면, ‘드림체크카드’는 경제적으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 미취업 청년에게 구직활동비를 지원해 생활 안정을 돕고 취업을 촉진하기 위해 2019년부터 인천시가 추진해 온 사업으로 올해는 총 600명을 선정해 지원할 계획이다.
지원 대상은 인천시에 거주하는 18~39세 미취업 청년으로, 최종학교 졸업자 가운데 가구 기준 중위소득 50% 초과 150% 이하에 해당하는 경우 신청할 수 있다.
다만, 타 기관의 유사 사업에 참여 중이거나 주 30시간 이상 근로 중인 경우에는 대상에서 제외된다.
최종 선정된 청년에게는 매월 50만 원씩 최대 6개월간(총 300만 원) 구직활동비가 지원된다.
지원금은 드림체크카드와 인천e음 소비 쿠폰으로 지급되며, 구직활동 중 취업 또는 창업에 성공한 경우 50만 원의 취업축하금이 지급된다.
