청주시는 지난 2023년 무심천 하천 공간 활용을 위한 마스터플랜을 수립하고 단기사업부터 중·장기사업까지 단계적으로 추진하고 있다.
시는 무심천을 시민 일상과 맞닿은 여가·문화 공간이자 도심 속 대표 힐링공간으로 만들어 나간다는 구상이다.
