브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= SK텔레콤은 정재헌 CEO가 스페인 바르셀로나에서 열리고 있는 세계 최대 모바일 박람회 MWC26에서 국내 스타트업 대표들을 만나 ‘AI 동반자’가 될 것을 약속했다고 5일 밝혔다.
올해 SKT는 MWC26 부대행사인 ‘4YFN(4 Years From Now)’에서 ‘SKT 스타트업 전시관’을 열고, AI 및 ESG분야의 혁신 스타트업 15곳의 전시를 지원하고 있다.
정 CEO는 지난 3일(현지시각) 전시에 참여한 스타트업 15곳 대표들과 런치 미팅을 갖고 SKT가 스타트업 생태계 활성화를 위해 마련한 계획과 비전을 밝혔다. 이 자리에서 정 CEO는 스타트업 대표들의 기술과 사업 모델을 직접 살펴보고, 글로벌 진출과 대기업 협업 과정에서의 고충에 대해 이야기를 나눴다.

매해 지원 스타트업 수를 단계적으로 늘려 2027년 90곳, 2028년 100곳, 2029년 110곳, 2030년 120곳 등 총 5년 동안 한 해 평균 100곳의 육성을 지원할 예정이다.
