가평군은 지난 4일 군청 소회의실에서 가평지역건축사회와 '재난 피해 주택 신축 지원을 위한 업무협약'을 맺고, 피해 복구를 위한 실질적인 협력체계를 구축했다고 밝혔다. 이번 협약은 행정안전부와 대한건축사협회의 협력 기조를 지역 단위로 확산시켜 군민의 일상 회복을 앞당기기 위해 마련됐다.
이번 협약의 핵심은 재난 피해주택을 다시 지을 때 발생하는 막대한 경제적 부담을 덜어주는 데 있다. 가평지역건축사회는 주민들이 주택을 신축할 경우, 지자체 예산편성 매뉴얼 기준의 설계비와 감리비를 절반(50%) 수준으로 대폭 감면해 주기로 통 큰 결단을 내렸다. 이를 위해 전담 건축사 인력풀까지 구성해 군에 지원할 예정이다.
