이 후보는 포항시장에 당선될 경우 즉시 ‘포항시정혁신위원회’를 구성해 100대 과제를 선정하고, 민·관·산·정이 참여하는 상설 협의체를 통해 지역 주요 현안을 논의하겠다고 밝혔다.
공약의 핵심은 ‘2·7·9 프로젝트’로, 행정 혁신과 도시 구조 개편, 민생 지원 정책을 함께 추진하는 것이 골자다.

재원 마련 방안에 대해서는 축제와 행사 예산을 10% 절감하고 순세계잉여금을 활용해 민생 정책에 우선 투입하겠다고 설명했다.
