박 예비후보는 5일 “포항을 대한민국 스포츠 명품도시로 키우기 위해 가칭 ‘포항 마린 퓨처스’ 구단 창단을 추진하겠다”며 “스포츠는 도시의 일자리와 상권을 움직이는 산업으로, 연중 상시 경기를 통해 도심에 사람과 소비가 흐르는 구조를 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.
