<브레이크뉴스 강원 = 김일웅 기자> 얼었던 땅이 녹아내리는 해빙기를 맞아 북부지방산림청이 산사태 예방을 위한 철통 방어선 구축에 나섰다.
북부지방산림청은 5일 낙석과 사면 붕괴 등 봄철 해빙기 안전사고에 선제적으로 대응하기 위해 홍천국유림관리소와 함께 산사태 예방·대응 체계 합동 점검을 강도 높게 실시했다고 밝혔다.
이번 합동 점검은 강원특별자치도 홍천군 내촌면 물걸리 일대를 중심으로 진행됐다. 점검반은 산사태 취약지역과 인근 대피소의 현황을 샅샅이 살피고, 토사 유출을 막는 핵심 시설인 사방댐의 훼손 여부 등을 집중적으로 확인했다.

단순한 시설 점검을 넘어 주민 안전망도 풀가동했다. 북부지방산림청은 취약지역 및 대피소의 안내 표지판 상태를 점검하는 동시에, 거주민들의 비상 연락망과 대피 체계를 꼼꼼히 재정비했다. 아울러 지역 주민들을 직접 만나 산사태 발생 시 행동 요령을 적극적으로 홍보하며 안전의식을 고취시켰다.
