브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= KB국민은행은 지난 5일 신학기를 맞아 도서·산간 지역 학생들의 새로운 출발을 응원하기 위한 학용품 전달식을 개최했다고 6일 밝혔다.
이번 지원은 KB국민은행의 사회공헌 활동인 ‘두근두근 신학기, 나를 응원해!’ 사업의 일환으로, 교육 및 생활 인프라 접근성이 상대적으로 낮은 지역의 아동들이 설레는 마음으로 신학기를 시작할 수 있도록 돕기 위해 마련됐다.
KB국민은행은 도서·산간 지역 사회복지시설을 이용하는 학생 100여 명을 대상으로 책가방과 필기구, 실내화 등으로 구성된 신학기 학용품 선물 세트를 전달했다.
특히, 이번 사업은 획일적인 물품 지원이 아닌, 아동·청소년이 각자의 연령과 취향에 따라 책가방을 직접 선택할 수 있도록 구성했다. 이를 통해 아이들이 스스로 학용품을 고르며 신학기를 준비하는 즐거움과 설렘을 느낄 수 있도록 했다.
KB국민은행 관계자는 “이번 학용품 지원이 아이들의 학교생활에 작은 보탬이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 아이들이 꿈을 키워 나갈 수 있도록 미래 세대를 위한 포용금융을 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
