원주시는 지역 내 청년 근로자의 경제적 자립을 돕고 든든한 자산 형성의 기회를 제공하는 '2026년 청년 디딤돌 2배 적금' 신청자를 오는 16일부터 전격 모집한다고 6일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 이름 그대로 내가 낸 돈의 두 배를 돌려받는 '잭팟' 통장이다. 가입 청년이 3년 동안 매월 10만 원씩 꾸준히 저축하면(원금 360만 원), 재직 중인 기업이 5만 원, 강원특별자치도와 원주시가 각각 2만 5천 원씩을 보태 매월 총 10만 원의 지원금을 1대1로 매칭해 준다. 만기가 도래하면 본인 저축액의 정확히 두 배인 720만 원의 목돈을 손에 쥐게 된다.
지원 자격은 신청일 기준 원주시에 주민등록을 두고 도내 기업에 재직 중인 18세 이상 45세 이하 청년이다. 고용보험에 가입되어 있어야 하며, 기준 중위소득 150% 이하 조건을 충족해야 한다. 단, 공기업이나 공공기관, 비영리법인 종사자 및 기존에 유사한 자산 형성 지원 혜택을 받은 이력이 있다면 아쉽게도 대상에서 제외된다.
