【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=차수환 국민의힘 대구 동구청장 예비후보가 10일 반야월 삼거리 안심로 소재 선거사무소에서 개소식을 갖고 동구 발전을 위한 5대 비전을 제시했다.
이날 개소식에는 강대식 국회의원의 축사를 비롯해 시·구의원, 지역 후원회 관계자와 주민 등 약 2천여 명이 참석해 열띤 분위기를 자아냈다.
차 예비후보는 “오늘은 동구의 100년 미래 성장동력을 확보하는 출발점”이라며 “본격적인 민생 행보에 나서겠다”고 밝혔다.
그는 동구 발전을 위한 전략으로 ▲K-2 군공항 후적지 개발을 통한 첨단산업 허브 조성 ▲주거환경 개선을 위한 도시재정비 사업 추진 ▲교통환경 개선을 통한 안전·교통 도시 구축 ▲팔공산·금호강·안심을 연결하는 체류형 관광벨트 조성 ▲주민 참여형 공동체 구축 등 5대 핵심 비전을 발표했다.
이어 “이 같은 전략을 통해 지속 가능한 일자리와 동구의 미래 먹거리를 만들어가겠다”며 포부를 드러냈다.
특히 재원 확보 방안에 대해서도 언급했다. 차 예비후보는 당정협의체 정례화를 통한 정책 협력 강화, 공모사업을 통한 국비·시비 확보, 대구·경북 행정통합에 따른 지방세제 개편 추진 등을 통해 동구의 재정 기반을 강화하겠다고 밝혔다. “재원 확보와 제도적인 기반 마련이 동구의 미래를 바꿀 핵심”이라고 강조했다.
차 예비후보는 동구 출신으로 대구 동구의회 4선 의원과 제7·8대 동구의회 의장을 역임한 바 있다. 그는 “지역 현안에 대한 경험을 바탕으로 현장 중심의 실질적인 행정을 펼치겠다”며 “주민과 함께 동구의 지속 가능하고 포용적인 성장을 이끌겠다”고 말했다.
