[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 통영시는 지난 12월부터 2월까지 기습적인 한파에 대비해 인공지능 돌봄로봇 ‘통영이’를 활용, 관내 독거치매 어르신 30명을 대상으로 진행한 ‘한파 대응 집중관리사업’을 성공적으로 마쳤다고 10일 밝혔다.
취약계층인 독거치매 어르신들이 한파 속에서도 건강하고 안전하게 겨울을 날 수 있도록 돕기 위해 기획된 인공지능 돌봄로봇 ‘통영이’는 어르신들에게 한파 대비 행동 수칙을 체계적으로 안내하며 실시간 안전 파수꾼 역할을 수행 했다.
또한 통영시 치매안심센터에서는 폭염 관리, 어르신 말벗 등 다양한 서비스를 제공했다.
특히 단순히 기기에만 의존하지 않고 보건소 사례관리팀의 정기적인 가정방문과 유선 연락을 병행한 것이 이번 사업의 핵심으로 이를 통해 온 오프라인을 잇는 입체적인 관리 체계를 구축했다.
아울러 독거치매 환자 관리의 사각지대를 해소하고 사례관리팀과의 연계 효율성을 극대화하는 성과를 거뒀다.
차현수 보건소장은 “인공지능 기술과 대면 돌봄의 결합이 복지 사각지대를 메우는 강력한 대안이 되고 있다”며 “향후 어르신들의 눈높이에 맞춘 더욱 다양한 문안을 구성해 어르신들께 한층 더 만족스러운 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
