【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군 농업기술센터는 충북혁신도시 내 유휴부지를 활용한 어린이 농업체험 프로그램 ‘꿈틀꿈틀 텃밭학교’의 입학생을 모집하고 있다고 11일 밝혔다.
이번 텃밭학교는 어린이들이 도심 속에서 농업을 직접 체험하며 먹거리의 소중함과 생명의 가치를 배울 수 있도록 마련된 프로그램이다.
모집 대상은 진천군에 거주하는 유치원생(6~7세)과 초등학생(1~3학년) 자녀를 둔 가구로, 총 76명을 선발한다.
신청 기간은 이달 18일까지이며, 선정된 어린이들은 4월 25일부터 11월 10일까지 텃밭학교 프로그램에 참여하게 된다.
프로그램은 △상자 텃밭 디자인 △모종 심기 △작물 관리 △수확 체험 등 농사의 전 과정을 직접 경험할 수 있는 실습 중심 활동으로 구성된다.
장병옥 군 농촌지원과장은 “아이들이 흙을 만지고 작물을 키우며 수확의 기쁨을 느끼는 과정은 정서 발달과 가족 간 유대감 형성에도 큰 도움이 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 군민들이 농업의 즐거움과 가치를 체감할 수 있도록 다양한 체험 프로그램을 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
