[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시가 요동치는 글로벌 정세 속에서 지역 경제의 버팀목인 수출 기업들을 지키기 위해 긴급 방어선 구축에 나섰다.
창원시는 11일 오후 성산구 TIC(주) 대회의실에서 유관기관 및 기업 관계자들과 ‘글로벌 위기 대응 긴급 간담회’를 열고, 중동발 리스크와 대미 통상 환경 변화에 따른 생존 전략을 논의했다.
창원은 제조업 비중이 높고 수출 의존도가 커 대외 변수에 특히 취약한 구조를 갖고 있다. 최근 미·이란 갈등으로 인한 유가 급등과 해상 물류 차질은 지역 기업들에 직접적인 위협이 되고 있다.
이번 간담회에는 한국무역협회, KOTRA, 중소벤처기업진흥공단, 창원상공회의소, 창원산업진흥원 등 5개 핵심 기관이 머리를 맞댔다. 이들은 각 기관의 전문성을 살려 실시간 글로벌 정보 공유는 물론, 물류난 해소를 위한 전용 상담 창구를 운영하는 등 기업 피해 최소화를 위한 원팀(One-Team) 체제를 가동하기로 했다.
시는 기업 피해 최소화를 위해 기존 지원사업을 적극 연계해 나갈 방침이다. 구체적으로는 중소 수출기업을 위한 수출보험료 및 물류비 지원을 추진하고, 글로벌 비즈센터 확대를 통해 시장 다변화를 지원할 계획이다. 또한 중소기업 육성자금 2,000억 원과 동반성장협력 협약자금 200억 원 등 금융지원을 통해 기업의 자금 유동성 확보를 돕고, 맞춤형 에너지 컨설팅을 통한 에너지 효율화 사업도 병행할 예정이다.
