[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시의 대표적 반려동물 쉼터인 ‘펫빌리지 놀이터’가 봄의 시작과 함께 야간 운영에 돌입하며 반려가구의 ‘저녁이 있는 삶’을 지원한다. 창원시는 동절기 단축 운영을 마치고 3월부터 ‘펫빌리지 놀이터 야간 개장’을 본격적으로 시행한다고 12일 밝혔다.
그동안 동절기(12월~2월) 안전과 기온 등을 고려해 오전 10시부터 오후 6시까지만 문을 열었던 운영 시간이 대폭 늘어난다. 3월부터 11월까지는 오전 10시부터 오후 9시까지 운영되며, 이용객들은 기존보다 3시간 더 여유롭게 시설을 이용할 수 있다.
이번 시간 연장은 낮 시간대 이용이 어려운 직장인 보호자들의 의견을 반영한 것으로, 퇴근 후 저녁 시간을 활용해 반려동물과 소통하려는 시민들에게 큰 호응을 얻을 것으로 기대된다.
